About

Biography

Joel is a mechanical engineering senior at the University of Michigan. He grew up in Novi, Michigan, and has had a passion for learning how anything and everything works and being able to optimize and redesign products to maximize results. He has supplemented his studies through NASA’s L’SPACE program completing both the Mission Concept Academy and NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience as Lead Systems Engineer and Principal Investigator respectively. Joel hopes to enter the workforce as a controls engineer, continuing his interest in dynamics and control systems.
